The First annual Back to Pymble Round of Sport
This year, Pymble Sport proudly launched our inaugural Back to Pymble Round of Sport. This event is a celebration designed to bring together our current students, staff, families and Pymble sporting alumni.
The first of what we hope will become a much-loved annual tradition, the Back to Pymble Round was about recognising the important role sport plays in the Pymble experience, while celebrating the lifelong connections and memories created through it.
It was fantastic to welcome former Pymble students back to campus and see them reconnect with their old teammates, coaches and friends. Across the day, our sporting program came alive, with our Netball, Hockey and Rub 7s fixtures providing a great showcase of Pymble sport.
The significance of the day extended well beyond the results on the field. The Back to Pymble Round created an opportunity to connect generations of Pymble athletes, those who have helped shape the sporting culture of the College and those who are now carrying that legacy forward.
For our current students, it was a chance to see that their Pymble sporting journey can extend well beyond their final day at school. For our alumni, it was an opportunity to return to a place that played an important role in their lives and to reconnect with the people and experiences that helped shape them. This was highlighted by a special Jersey Presentations, with our former Rugby 7’s leaders, passing the jersey onto the current team.
Launching the Back to Pymble Round is an exciting milestone for Pymble Sport. We hope that, over time, it becomes a significant date in the Pymble sporting calendar and a day where generations of students return, reconnect and celebrate the enduring legacy of Pymble Sport.
A huge thank you to our students, staff, coaches, families, alumni and visiting schools for helping make our first Back to Pymble Round such a memorable occasion.
This was the beginning of something special, and we look forward to welcoming even more of our Pymble sporting community Back to Pymble next year.
