Reunions and Events – Reunion Recap
1991 – 35 Year Reunion
35 years, one unforgettable afternoon. The PLC Class of 1991 reunited at the David Macfarlane Centre for delicious food and drinks, treasured memories, and a playlist of George Michael, Madonna and 80s and 90s hits that had us all back in our school days. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who travelled long distances to be there. Your effort made the afternoon all the more special, and we’re so glad you came.

1961 – 65 Year Reunion
It was such a happy occasion when 36 of us gathered at our old school on Saturday 12 September. From the large feedback, everyone enjoyed themselves more than they expected to. Thanks to Jenny Crichton, an indefatigable boarder who has a heart of gold; this year we had many boarders gathered up from all corners of Australia to join the day girls and swell our numbers. It was wonderful to have San Sippe with us, clearly enjoying herself and all appreciated the fresh flowers on the tables, in the school colours of Scarlet, White and Navy, tied with black watch tartan ribbons, arranged by Jenny. A quartet of boarders, Pippy Smith, Rosemary Aggs, Tina Vickery and Jenny Crichton, had us all laughing and weeping at their memories of being young boarders at PLC. Jenny also talked about her life on the land in outback Queensland, surviving droughts and flooding rains, shooting snakes, meanwhile teaching her children on their scratchy school of the air radio. The youthful School Principal, Dr Kate Hadwen – who is light years away from our image of Miss Knox – arrived in white jeans, gym jacket and hair in a ponytail, after being out with the rowing team. She delivered a fascinating talk about Pymble today, 2,500 students, 1,000 total staff, and a vast syllabus including robotics and flying drones. Light years away from our ladylike education, which by comparison now seems like the 18th century.

2011 – 15 Year Reunion
On 12 September the class of 2011 met for afternoon tea and drinks to celebrate their 15 year reunion. It was a sunny and relaxed occasion to catch up with old friends and share updates. Guests enjoyed reminiscing about time at school and swapping stories but special little guests (and potentially future Pymble girls) definitely stole the show.

2021 – 5 Year Reunion
We all had such a lovely time at the Class of 2021 Reunion! Hosted at the Greengate upstairs, it was so nice to reconnect and learn about the different paths everyone has taken. It felt like no time had passed since year 12, and I hope we all get the chance to reconnect many times before the 10-year!

2016 – 10 Year Reunion
The Pymble Ladies’ College Class of 2016 celebrated their 10 Year Reunion at The Commodore Hotel in North Sydney on Saturday night. More than 80 former classmates came together to reconnect and reminisce. There’s been plenty of change over the years, including engagements, marriages, promotions, adventures and some new additions to the group with the arrival of some babies! A great night was had by all, and everyone is already looking forward to the next one.
