Supporting the family of Meaghan Bowler (2013)

We were heartbroken to learn of the tragic death of Meaghan Bowler (2013).

For those who may not be aware, Meaghan lost her life to domestic violence in the US in April this year. She leaves behind her devastated family in Australia and two boys who are currently living with her husband’s mother while her husband is in custody.

Meaghan’s sister Madisson and father have now relocated to the US to apply for custody of the children and bring them back to Australia to be raised by her family. In her sister Madisson’s words, “We want Meaghan’s warmth and love for people to live on through these two boys.”

The family has established a GoFundMe page to support their quest, which is expected to be complex, time consuming and expensive given the children do not have birth certificates or social security numbers.

Any donation, no matter how small, will be gratefully received by Meaghan’s family.

Help me bring my sister Meaghan’s children home to Australia

Meaghan attended Pymble from 2011 to 2013 as a Boarder in Lang House. She loved life at the College and was an enthusiastic member of the tennis team and well-liked by her peers. She was also very creative, producing photography for her major work and sculpture, which her family still have and treasure today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Meaghan’s family, friends and loved ones.
