Pymble Alumni President Update

It has been a wonderful Term 3 for Pymble Alumni, and we are thrilled to see our transition well underway, with several new initiatives already taking shape.

A highlight of the term was the Pymble Garden Party, where we enjoyed a very successful day connecting with Alumni, families and the broader College. Alongside the much-loved traditions of the day, our stall featured Printhie sparkling wine from a winery connected to one of our fellow ex-students. We were also excited to introduce a new range of Pymble Alumni merchandise and bring back the much-loved ‘Pymble Lady’ Camellia japonica – a special nod to our history and traditions. Thank you to our Committee members and volunteers whose time and enthusiasm made the day such a success.

I would also like to make special mention of Susan O’Sullivan (Kench, 1987) and thank her for the extraordinary time, passion and care she has dedicated to the Alison Hale Art Trail. What began as a bequest to the Ex-Students’ Union has, through Susan’s vision and commitment, become a celebration of alumni artists, an opportunity to reconnect with our boarding heritage, and a platform to further develop our arts program and support emerging artists.

Looking ahead, we are excited to deliver two valuable new initiatives before the end of the year. Our industry-specific networking evening will bring together alumni working across the Allied Health sector, creating an opportunity to share knowledge, build professional connections and strengthen our alumni network.

We will also host our first Workplace Readiness Workshop for Alumni who graduated within the past ten years. The workshop will provide practical, hands-on resume writing guidance and personalised support to help early-career alumni build confidence and prepare for their next professional opportunity.

These initiatives reflect our vision for a modern and connected Pymble Alumni – one that respects its proud history while creating meaningful opportunities for graduates at every stage of life. I am incredibly grateful to our Committee, the College and our alumni for their continued support as we shape this exciting new chapter together.
